Switch to solar energy and reduce 240 tons of annual CO2 emissions, in collaboration with Greenvolt Next.
Celebrating its 100th anniversary this year, Leonteios School of Athens remains inextricably linked to educational innovation, with a key goal of fostering respect and care for the environment.
With its entry into the second century of its journey, Leonteios School of Athens, inaugurated for its operation, a new energy era, installs the energy solutions, which will allow its energy autonomy, with renewable energy sources.
In collaboration with the companies Greenvolt Next and Glensol, he proceeded with the installation of a PV system with a total power of 199.8 kWp, which is ensured in Leonteios School of Athens, the production of 300,000 kWh of green energy per year. Greenvolt Next, one of the most dynamic companies in the planning and implementation of solutions for the energy transition of countries in Greece, undertook the financing and management of the project. Glensol, which has been active in the provision of renewable energy solutions since 2012 in the Greek market, undertook the development of the project and the management of the works for its construction.
The project was created on the basis of Greenvolt Next’s Solar PPA – Zero Investment model, which allows Leonteios School of Athens to reduce its energy costs and environmental footprint without the initial need for investment, with the dedicated Greenvolt Next team undertaking the financing and the installation costs of the photovoltaic system, its operation and maintenance, ensuring the maximum production of solar energy, which will contribute to the reduction of CO2 emissions by 240 tons per year.
